Espying Elegance

I love to go on mini home tours in my posts. With so many, I realized that I at least needed a label for what is turning into a collection of tours! So I decided on Espying Elegance. Espying Elegance will be the collection of all of these beautiful glimpses into homes that I obsess over. Basically, my obsession needed to be neatly categorized ;)

The centerpiece in the front entry is gorgeous!

Spiral staircases make me swoon.

At first, I thought this was a guest room. But look at the clawfoot tub in the left corner! Brilliant!

What a cozy room. The popping yellow contrast to the otherwise neutral colored room by using the flowers is fantastic. Very refreshing.
A porch most would envy.

And finally, a whimsical back yard set up. If I could be so lucky...

I am totally coveting this bathroom! The pendant lights, the dark wood cabinets...oh yes please!

Rings on the mind

Just browsing some wedding bands I LOVE:

I am completely exhausted from the wedding this weekend and this bedroom is calling to me...

A study in books...

Books, books, and more books! One of the requirements for my dream home is a two story library! It will be a room filled with plush armchairs, a fireplace, and shelves filled with all kinds of books! Here are a few libraries that spark my interest.

This is an inspiration to me. The following two pictures are of real rooms in a real house of a real person---blogger Lily-g! It just shows that real people (not just magazines and hollywood) can create beautiful homes! Lily-g, keep up the great work! When I grow up, I want to be just like you ;)

And they lived happily ever after...

I'm back after a whirlwind of a weekend! My little sister got married on Saturday and it was the most beautiful event ever. She and her new husband are so happy together and it was truly a blessed event. I will have to post some pictures as soon as I get my hands on them!

Shoe love!

Two really fun pairs of shoes I just bought. I love them!

I think this bag is just too much fun! You would have to be careful with what you pair it with, but it is soo stylish! Get it here.
I love horses and the simple elegance of horse riding. Though I am a far cry from a true equestrian I have always enjoyed every second spent in the ring. I also greatly enjoy the one on one time spent with a horse when you are putting the tack on and grooming. There is nothing like walking into a barn and the atmosphere there. The smell of leather and hay mixed with the sound of the occasional whinny from a horse...I could just stay in a barn with horses all day long. Especially if I was in one of these barns!! Oh la la, they take my breath away.

Dear PT Cruiser Owner-

Each and every day in the summer months as I drive home you are doing one of three things:
1. Washing your white PT Cruiser
2. Drying your white PT Cruiser
3. Sitting in a lawn chair right next to your white PT Cruiser and catching some sun after rinsing it down.
I admire the pride you take in the astute cleanliness of your automobile. Surely your car is the cleanest around. Does it get dirty often because your driveway and lawn are right up against the busiest route in the area? It sure is a congested road. And I am sure that you cannot help but let the passing public see that your car car is cared for. Plus, a little nap in your beach chair next to the sidewalk can never hurt, right? So thanks for the smiles, for I would be lost without the sight of your shining white Cruiser parked out on the front lawn for all passers-by to admire.
Sincerely yours,
A daily commuter (Me)

These kitchens are making me smile!

One for all and all for...biscuits!

This cute overseas shop, Biscuiteers, sells the cutest biscuits! They are each hand decorated and they come in various shapes for all occasions you can think of! Mmmmm!

Yes please

I am dreaming of powdering my nose each morning in this glorious bathroom. Ah, me!

Spell it out

Aren't these cookie cutters fun? Already I can think of too many uses for them.
