Though this is not normally a style I would jump at, this kitchen is calling to me. It is just so warm and inviting...it is coziness itself.

A fun and different lamp! Found here.

Holiday anyone?

Here is a lovely upon lovely vacation home in Atlanta. I adore the greys and neutrals throughout and the streamlined design of everything.
A dazzling screen porch!
Okay, these have to be the coolest porch swings ever!
The whole house has such a natural feel to it, as evidenced by the calming colors and little details like the stump bench near the bath.

You can check out more views here.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder...?

Sorry for the lapse yesterday! There was an internet blowout on the provider's end and I couldn't get online! Heavens to betsy! So, I thought I would include a picture above of a woman working on...well, okay its actually an engine line but we can pretend otherwise ;) I'm back now and all is well!

Two of the cutest dog beds I have ever seen. Literally drooling over these. Hee.

Pamper your pooch and get them here.
You couldn't help but sparkle in these...
Yes please...

Exploring

*3:33 p.m. Update! The wonderful Julia Knispel invited me to join in on her Hooked on Houses tour! Needless to say, just the fact that she looked at my blog and wrote to me was enough to make me dizzy with excitement! Join in on the blog party by clicking on the above button and check out some amazing homes. Thanks to Julia for putting this wonderful event together!

A cute home with aged wood planks and light-filled rooms.

Oh yeah. And it has a summer house. Can it get any cuter?

"...Do not as some ungracious pastors do, Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven, Whiles, like a puff'd and reckless libertine, Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads And recks not his own rede."
(Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3, Lines 530-535)

(image) I am on the point of obsession with underwater portraits. They are visually stimulating and so eerily provoking. I can't help but attribute it to a kind of Ophelia-esque impression. (image)

This one is my favorite. It is so ghostly and ethereal...stunning.
It's a darn good thing that I already spent money on a bathing suit because I am sorely tempted to indulge on one of these masterpieces!

Check them out here.

I love the canopy created with this bed and I like the high ceiling. Overall it creates a very island paradise feel.

This is fabulous! It is a type of slip that you wear under a skirt or dress but the thicker bottom is made to stick out so that it adds an entire other layer to your outfit! It could instantly make a blah skirt a fantastic skirt!
About three weeks ago I visited (for the hundredth time) one of the estates I covet most: Mount Vernon. There are only a few properties that I have been to that make me go weak in the knees and make the cut as a basis for my own dream estate (because of course, there are no limitations on dreaming, right?). The vast property at Mount Vernon is on that very short list. The land itself is stunning and the property is laid out with perfection. The elongated front lawn, the two side gardens that run parallel to it, and at the center of this layout, the iconic home sits at the top...it is enough to make me swoon. I also love how the house and gardens take up their own area of the property while a little distance away you then find the more hardy farm structures and fields. It is planned to perfection. Courtesy of my wonderful sister, here are some pictures from that day:

Eying pretty lamps from Robert Kitto lighting.

I think I can safely say that most anyone would be just a little jealous of this laundry room...

I am intrigued by this

I think this necklace/earring pairing would be lovely. Find it here.
