This one was built in 1895 and has a very open floor plan. It looks very nicely renovated and very kept up, which is an absolute must if you are going to own a historic house.
This entryway is so adorable! It is filled with light from the many windows around the staircase. I do have a thing for windows along staircases... I also have a thing for stairs, lots and lots of stairs! Not that I like walking up and down them (who does?) but they are such a dramatic element to a house.
I have tried (and continue to try) to be fantastically meticulous with attributing every picture/image/and all of the above that I post to its original source. I take no credit whatsoever for any image that is not my own and make sure to give all credit to the site/magazine/link/book et al. from which I found it. If you notice an image of yours that is not attributed correctly or if you would like me to take down said image, please feel free to email me. My sole intent in this blog is to post thoughts, ideas, images, and things that I find to be simply elegant! The mere purpose and character of this blog is for nonprofit educational purposes. Anything that I post and discuss is to be viewed with appreciation and good will, in a matter befitting an awed and inspired observer. Finally, all posts and most especially any personal information, pictures, images, quotes, ideas, musings, etc. are not to be used for any commercial aspect or personal gain.
