Is this not a most cozy kitchen? Though it is warm outside I cannot help but picture myself curled up in one of those red chairs and sipping hot cocoa!

I thought I would start out the day with this stress-free bathroom in which I desperately want to be soaking in a bubble bath!

A study in books...

"If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need."
~Cicero
Books, books, and more books! One of the requirements for my dream home is a two story library! It will be a room filled with plush armchairs, a fireplace, and shelves filled with all kinds of books! Here are a few libraries that spark my interest.

"...Do not as some ungracious pastors do, Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven, Whiles, like a puff'd and reckless libertine, Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads And recks not his own rede."
(Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3, Lines 530-535)

(image) I am on the point of obsession with underwater portraits. They are visually stimulating and so eerily provoking. I can't help but attribute it to a kind of Ophelia-esque impression. (image)

This one is my favorite. It is so ghostly and ethereal...stunning.

Flickr Lovelies

Today I am enjoying the photography of flickr member road_less_trvled. I especially love the black and white photos of abandoned houses. Abandoned houses and structures always seem to have their own distinct siren's call. Who lived there? What happened there? Why did they leave?
